How MemberWorks FRM works

From application to recorded exchange — a practical walkthrough of the member network.

The member sequence

  1. 1

    Join the network

Submit a membership application describing what you can provide and what you need.

  2. 2

    Establish your account

Once approved, set up a personal or merchant account in the MemberWorks FRM Android application.

  3. 3

    Provide or obtain resources

List goods, services, equipment or capacity, or find what another member has available.

  4. 4

    Exchange through FRM

Approved exchanges are recorded in FRM so both sides have a consistent, reviewable record.

Approved membership

Every member is reviewed before approval. Applications describe what a member can provide and what they are looking for, so the network stays productive and accountable.

Personal and merchant accounts

Personal accounts belong to individual members. Merchant accounts belong to approved businesses that publish listings and accept FRM for goods and services.

FRM balances

A balance reflects recorded exchanges within the network. FRM is an internal accounting unit, not a deposit, currency or investment product.

Member transfers

Approved members can transfer FRM to record an exchange — for example, a contractor recording payment for a week of borrowed lift capacity.

QR payments

In person, a merchant presents a code and the member confirms the exchange from the Android application. Both sides receive a receipt.

Marketplace purchases

Members browse approved listings and complete an exchange using FRM. Fulfillment terms come from the merchant listing.

Merchant listings

Approved merchants publish inventory, equipment availability and professional services with clear descriptions and terms.

Administrative review

MemberWorks reviews activity to keep exchanges consistent with the FRM Standards, and may request clarification before an exchange is finalized.

Receipts and Activity records

Each approved exchange produces a receipt and an Activity entry so members can review what happened and when.

Future sourcing requests and member contracts

A planned extension will let MemberWorks publish sourcing needs, receive member responses and record an awarded scope as a controlled member contract with fulfillment evidence.

The exchange record

  1. 1. Review: the member confirms the account, recipient, amount and purpose.
  2. 2. Record: the Worker commits the exchange to the authoritative FRM ledger.
  3. 3. Receipt: both participating accounts receive a traceable Activity entry.
  4. 4. Oversight: authorized operators can review the event without rewriting its history.

A practical example

A fabrication shop has an idle press brake two days a week. A contractor needs short-run brackets. The shop lists available capacity, the contractor requests it, and the completed work is recorded as an exchange in FRM. Both members keep a receipt, and the shop puts idle equipment time to work.
